Grand National 2025 NEWS: Results, places and updates as day one marred by horse death | Racing | Sport
The clash between Constitution Hill and Lossiemouth looks set to be the big talking point of the day, and owner Rich Ricci has had his say on the latter’s chances.
Constitution Hill easily dispatched of the mare when they clashed over two miles at Kempton in December, but over this 2m4f trip, it remains to be seen whether she can reverse the form.
Asked about her chances by ITV Racing, Ricci said: “I think if we’re ever going to beat him, today might be the day. Two-and-a-half mile trip suits us, I think.
“She seemed back to her best ta Cheltenham and she has a big chance so that’s good enough for me. But look, if Constitution Hill shows up in the form that he’s shown in the past and runs to his rating, he’ll be hard to beat.”
