Best Nintendo Switch games in Black Friday sale including all-time classic for £4 | Gaming | Entertainment
Black Friday doesn’t officially take place until November 29, but that hasn’t stopped companies like Nintendo from kicking off sales early.
Featuring discounts on hundreds of games, the Nintendo Switch eShop Black Friday sale runs from now until end of play on December 1.
As part of the sale, Nintendo has reduced the price of popular first-party releases, as well as critically-acclaimed indies and triple-A blockbusters from third-party publishers.
If you’re after some game recommendations or want to know the best bargains, then we’ve put together a list of the best Nintendo Switch games to buy in the eShop Black Friday sale.
Hogwarts Legacy – £14.99
Down to its cheapest ever price on Nintendo Switch, Hogwarts Legacy is an absolute steal at £14.99, especially considering the amount of content available.
The Harry Potter spinoff sees players attend the famous school of wizardry, and just in time to foil an evil plot.
Pupils must attend various classes, learn spells, forge friendships with fellow students and explore the surrounding area.
Metroid Dread – £33.29
Metroid Dread is a 2D platforming game with an emphasis on exploration. Taking its cues from the classic entries in the series, players explore a huge environment, using newly discovered abilities to gradually uncover the map and wipe out an alien threat.
This includes deadly mechanical enemies that have been taken over by a parasite and turned against their creators, not to mention screen-filling monstrosities that require exceptional skill to overcome.
Dragon Quest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age – £24.99
One of the best Japanese role-playing games in recent memory, Dragon Quest XI is a charming and colourful adventure in which the hero must save the world.
It’s classic good vs evil stuff, complete with a strong and memorable cast of characters, as well as a solid turn-based combat system that hearkens back to the good old days.
It also provides tens of hours of gameplay, making the Black Friday price point even more appealing.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – £33.29
With Nintendo recently announcing plans to release a remastered version of spinoff game Xenoblade Chronicles X for Switch, there’s never been a better time to play the Xenoblade trilogy.
All three games are available at discounted prices in the sale, although Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the highest-rated thanks to its stunning visuals and epic scale.
With upwards of six characters in your party at any given time, you’ll have to plan accordingly and use your strengths, all the while taking advantage of those epic Art attacks.
